Ringer Spy Iluvatar writes: i got my dirty claws on a rumour from a friend who works for Edwards theatres. This weekend on firday night, tv networks will begin to re air the trailers for TTT but now at the end will be what we have all been waiting for...THE RETURN OF THE KING TRAILER HAS ARRIVED!!! I figured this would interest everyone whom has been starving for news on this subject just as I have. My source tells me that the preview will be shown at the end of the movie starting in the second weekend of March 2003. Hope you like this.

TTT Gaffes:

- Several of the peasant women in Rohan are wearing lip liner and natural coloured lipstick. The most noticable is the woman who puts her children on the horse and tells them to ride to Edoras to sound the alarm. Where does a [peasant] woman fleeing her home get the time to do her makeup?

- When Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli enter the King of Rohan's chamber, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli start knocking down soldiers to protect Gandalf. When they have finished, there is a shot taken from behind and one of the beaten soldiers is lying on the floor playing with his hair, curling it around his finger.

- During the Helms Deep battle sceen, Aragorn is shouting commands to the elven archers. (Close-up shot of Aragorn while it's still raining.) If you look to the left of Aragorn, there is an elf who is repeatedly getting hit in the head by the ends of the arrows on the back of the elf next to him/her.

- When the men are retreating into the halls of Helmsdeep, you can see an archer in the bottom right corner repeatedly shooting his bow without an arrow on the string.

Elizabeth writes: I'm a member of Britannia, which is a UK mail-order club for buying DVDs. I got the latest catalogue this morning and there is a page of "Pre-Order Titles", one of which is The Two Towers, with a release date of 22nd of August. I've checked the dates for the other items on the page and they all seem to be correct, where they are available. I checked their website and although there is no mention of the date, the DVD is there and can be ordered.

Lord of the Rings actor Dominic Monaghan has bought his own Indian forest. Monaghan, who plays hobbit Merry Brandybuck, has bought a small forest in Bangalore. An avid tree lover, he wanted to play his part to reduce global warming. Monaghan is one of a growing band of film stars who have gone CarbonNeutral.

Sources are saying that ROTK will be around 3 1/2 hrs. long!!! Yay!!! 30 min. longer that TTT and FOTR!!!

I just saw something kinda odd, I don't know how many of you have seen the May It Be music video from the original Fellowship of the Ring DVD, but I was watching it a little while ago and noticed shots from TTT as well as some shots that didn't make it into FOTR! Like there's one of Bill the pony on Caradaras, which sadly, didn't make it into fotr or the extended version! Just thought to share that little tidbit! ^.^ (The shot from TTT is a bunch of orcs marching to Helm's Deep)
